Fractional CTO · IT and AI consulting · Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Build the IT department. Then automate it.

Disruption Digital gives growing companies a fractional CTO who has run every layer of IT: help desk, identity, devices, security, cloud, offices, and acquisitions. I build or rebuild your IT function, then use AI and automation so it keeps up with growth without adding headcount.

  1. Lead

    Fractional CTO

Technology strategy, budget, security, and vendor decisions from someone who has run every layer of IT. Part time, for a monthly fee.

Find the work your team repeats every week, then build the bots, agents, and automations that do it. With the guardrails to run them safely.

Who I work with

Built for teams like yours

  • Software and SaaS

Fast-moving teams on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, Slack, and dozens of SaaS apps that all need single sign-on.

  • Companies growing by acquisition

Buyers who need each new team working on day one and fully consolidated within a quarter.

  • Healthcare

Nearly five years supporting healthcare organizations, where uptime and access control are not optional.

  • Distributed and global teams

People across North America, South America, and India, supported remotely with the same standards everywhere.

  • Multi-office companies

Build-outs, closures, server rooms, conference rooms, and door access across many sites.

  • Small teams without IT

Companies of 10 to 250 people that need a real IT department without hiring one.

Getting started

From first call to fully covered in about a month

  1. Week 1

    Assessment

Inventory your accounts, devices, apps, and vendors. You get a written report of what is working, what is risky, and what it costs.

  2. Weeks 2–3

    Onboarding

Install management on every device, take over admin access, and document everything. Your team gets one place to ask for help.

  3. Month 1

    Security baseline

MFA on every account, endpoint protection on every device, backups verified, and departed users removed.

  4. Ongoing

    Run and improve

Daily support, monthly reporting, and a quarterly review to plan budget, renewals, and the next project.

Who you'd work with

Cam Klein

I have worked in IT for nine years, and I have run every layer of it: help desk, devices, identity, security, cloud, offices, vendors, and budget. I started in healthcare IT consulting. Then I joined a software company as a support specialist and built its IT function from nothing. With one other person, I supported the company to 450 employees and owned the IT controls in its SOC 2 audit.

When that company was acquired, I became the IT lead for acquisitions at the buyer, a company of about 1,600 people in 18 countries. In the past year I integrated six acquired companies, rebuilt IT operations while ticket volume grew 60%, and wrote the roadmap for the year ahead.
